Spring & Summer News 2016

I’m not sure where the time has flown since our last update in January. Spring was very busy and summer is not relenting either! I don’t want to bore you with a long list so here are just some of the highlights that our clients have been involved in over the Spring and Summer!

In the theatre, “Sunny Afternoon” continues, and “Moll Flanders” has come and gone. We finished the RSC’s “Henry IV” but are still doing “Richard III” at the Almeida which then goes on to Croatia, as well as a UK tour of “Hamlet”. “1984” has received great reviews, “Motown” is going strong and Cheek by Jowl’s “Winter’s Tale” has come back from its International tour but in a few months times re-starts heading for New York. The UK Tour of “Mary Poppins” is still charming all, whereas the dark, “10,000 Smarties” received great reviews. “Beyond the Fence” made theatre history and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is bound to as well! “Goodnight Mister Tom” finished as did “Peoples Places and Things” and “An Inspector Calls”. David Walliams “Ratburger” opened on tour and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Glyndebourne was a visual spectacle. We have seen clients in such contrasting productions as “The Importance of being Earnest” and “The Hobbit” – we have been overrun with press nights and parties! Apologies to all of you whose theatre jobs I haven’t credited, there are just too many to list.

On screen our clients have been equally busy, I think we have done commercials for every feasible product on the planet, filming in the UK and many foreign climes! Short films, Corporates, Educational shoots (both DVD’s and Stills) have been in abundance and we have provided even more voices for animated series than normal, including “Thunderbirds,” “Raa Raa The Noisy Lion” and yet another series of “The Hive.”  The usual “Hollyoaks”, “Casualty”, “Midsomer Murders” and “Doctors” continue as normal. We enjoyed seeing our clients in “Marcella”, “Suffragettes”, “New Blood”, “Coronation Street” and  “Man Down” and are looking forward to “Ash Lad,” “Crazy Face”  “Hooten and the Lady” and “The Royals”. Currently filming are “The Comeback Kid”, “A Coven of Evil”, “The Dumping Ground”, “Secret Life of Boys” and “So Awkward”. Again apologies for those of you whose jobs I haven’t listed, these are just the first handful that come to mind.

But the most important news is that we have been joined by Bushra Laskar, an excellent addition to the JPA team.

Autumn news should follow shortly!
